You may have a Coordinate Measuring Machine(s) to sell and might worry its sale may not maintain a full, retail price. In many cases, we will be able to sell the CMM for you, earn a commission, and still get you the desired price. We will assume all marketing responsibilities and expenses. When the CMM sells, we will charge a sales commission; our fee comes from sale proceeds. If we do not sell the CMM, there is no charge to you. Please read the facts and benefits listed below. If you are interested in letting us go to work on your project, or even more information, please fill out the form on the main page. We will contact you within 24 hours.

FACT - In most cases, MSS and our services do not cost the seller.
BENEFIT - We are able to get sellers 10-25% more money for the CMM, in many cases, than they could get on their own. The reason for this is that Metrology Support Services finds end-user, retail buyers. We have an excellent record of receiving the full asking price, and we can protect you from the negotiation process. Our entire fee is usually funded by dollars from the buyer, which the seller may not have otherwise realized. Your CMM sells right along with ours. Our track record is proof - we know what we are doing. We know how to find buyers and we know how to sell CMM's. A consignment with us is not an experiment for you - our ability to sell and get top dollar are proven facts.

FACT - Metrology Support Services maintains a high profile Internet web site.
BENEFIT - Your CMM will be advertised on our web site, complete with color photos, information and pricing. In the last several years, we have experienced a dramatic increase in sales resulting from internet marketing. The web site is equivalent to a store, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is highly ranked with major search engines and many prospective customers, from all over the world, visit our web site every day. Visitors will be able to read about and look at color photos of your CMM, from the comfort of their own office space or home. All of the people in our network will be immediately aware of your CMM. We will describe your CMM, via email and fax, to our network of dealer friends before the ad is even posted. This initial form of communication often results in an immediate sale. It also may have a delayed reaction - someone in the network might later become aware of a new buyer. This networking tool works much like the multi-listing of homes in real estate, but more broad in scope.

FACT - Metrology Support Services knows CMM.
BENEFIT– We will be able to provide a complete turnkey operation for the sale of your CMM. For our customer, we will prepare for services such as moving, picking up, shipping, installing, calibrating/training and warranty the installation. This will make for a better selling tool - the buyer will not need to find other sources once it has purchased the CMM from our customer.

BENEFIT – Our high-profile inventory attracts buyers in the same manner a supermarket attracts shoppers. Your consigned CMM is offered right along with our own inventory. Metrology Support Services is highly specialized and deals only in CMM's.

BENEFIT - You get immediate exposure to our existing customer base from coast to coast. MSS is contacted daily, via phone and fax, by existing customers, friends and referrals who are looking for CMM's. We also maintain a computerized database of potential buyers who have contacted us for CMM's not available at the time. Often, a quick sale results from an initial database search.

BENEFIT - Your CMM is available to foreign buyers through marketing efforts.

BENEFIT - We represent you with integrity. With over 20 years in the CMM business, our track record proves we run our company with the highest ethical standards. You can be sure that your CMM will be honestly represented and all persons involved in the transaction will get a fair shake.

*We require a minimum of a 120-day exclusive consignment.

BENEFIT - With exclusivity, it is possible for us to use the same effort in marketing your CMM as we do for one of our own. Typically, brokers do not require exclusivity due to lack of money and/or serious effort. We treat your CMM as it were our own, using an aggressive approach to market and sell your product. This sales approach utilizes advertising, networking, online communication, direct mailing and a worldwide, computerized database of customers. The 120-days gives the advertisements an adequate time frame to work. A shorter agreement period does not give us ample time to fully employ all of the resources of the Metrology Support Services marketing process.

Uncertainty of Measurement - When calibrating laboratory equipment or customer’s equipment, the measurement uncertainty procedure, described in the calibration method, will be used.

Method uncertainty procedures are based upon, the NIST Technical Note 1297, 1994 Edition, Guidelines for Evaluating and Expressing the Uncertainty of NIST Measurement Results. All uncertainty components, which are deemed of critical importance, are considered. When a rigorous measurement of uncertainty cannot be calculated a reasonable attempt to identify all the components of the uncertainty will be done, using knowledge of the method and its scope. The customer will be notified that it is an estimate of the uncertainty.
